Responsible to: Principal(s), Constable Robin Cameron Education Complex
Chief Beardy Memorial Elementary School

Summary: The Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation is seeking a professional who can demonstrate school services that include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessment, Curriculum and Instruction
  • Information Technology (Data Collection)
  • Communications
  • Evaluation of Instructional Staff

Required knowledge, education, qualifications, and experience:

  • Masters of Education degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education
  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum 7 years successful teaching experience including progressive experience at the administrator level
  • Minimum 3 years direct supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Saskatchewan curriculum and Ministry of Education initiatives
  • Knowledge of best practices in Educational leadership

COUNCILLOR STATEMENT: MORE THAN 50 BOCN GRADUATES IN CLASS OF 2018!

Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – The following statement was released today by the Councillor in charge of Education & Training, Jackie Gamble:

“It fills me with immense pride to announce that more than 50 young people will be graduating from the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation at Constable Robin Cameron Education Complex, Stobart Community School, and other schools in June of 2018!

Our young people are teaching us so much — that we can overcome obstacles if we put our mind to it, that we can be resilient when times are tough, and of equal importance, that despite the challenges we face, we must celebrate success when we get the chance.

With this in mind, and on behalf of our entire Council, I would like to congratulate the following students who will be graduating as the Class of 2018:

Councillor Statement: Congratulations BHP Scholarship Recipients!

COUNCILLOR STATEMENT: BHP ANNOUNCES BOCN SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – Councillor Leighanne Gardipy and Councillor Kevin Seesequasis released the following statement today on BHP’s announcement of scholarship recipients from the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation:

“As the Senior Advisory Team Members for the BHP Opportunities Agreement with the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation, it gives us immense pride to congratulate and announce that the following youth from the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation have received scholarships from BHP Billiton:

– Kelsey Desjarlais
– Brittani Gamble
– Kellsie Gamble
– Chenessa Gardipy

In total, $5,000 is allocated for students to attend post-secondary education. Previous BOCN recipients include: Nathaniel Sutherland, Chenessa Gardipy, and Jared Daschner.

We wish our students the best success in their chosen field of study and have every confidence that they will continue to make their families and our community proud!”
