Purpose: To assist with the large population-based study “Assess, Redress, Re-assess: Addressing Disparities in Sleep Health Among First Nation’s People”
Nature of Work: The incumbent will report to the Project Manager. Responsibilities will include (1) recruitment of study participants,
(2) administration of the survey questionnaire,
(3) maintaining research records in a confidential manner, and
(4) other clerical and organizational duties as required by the project according to the study protocols. All necessary training to perform the above-listed duties will be provided by the research project manager.
Accountabilities: The incumbent will work with a team to recruit participants, and gather and record data. The work will be completed according to established timelines (some interviews may be conducted either in the evening to accommodate community members’ needs or require house visits). The incumbent will attend weekly research team meetings and other meetings as needed.
Some University education will be an asset.
Experience: Ability to work with people, ability to work efficiently in a team environment; ability to meet deadlines; ability to schedule interviews, knowledge of conducting interviewer-administered surveys, and organizing research documents.
Skills: Basic computing skills are essential. Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills are required. Cree language fluency is an asset.
Salary Information: Salary according to Community guidelines and commensurate with qualifications and experience. –
Expected Start Date: Wednesday, May 23, this does not include training, which will happen prior to the start date
