The Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation is accepting applications for the Governance Committee.
The Governance Committee is mandated to work as a team to ensure that legislation is created for the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation.
Through enacting the Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation Constitution, the community has mandated the inclusion of Elders and Youth in all levels of governance. To honour that direction, Elders and Youth will be included in the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation Nehiyaw

We are seeking:
1 Female Youth (between 14-25 years old)
1 Male Youth (between 14-25 years old)
2 Female Elders
2 Male Elders
Elders: to apply you may either submit a letter stating your interest in governance or you may call the band office at (306) 467-4523 and speak with Joanne Brittian.
Youth: to apply you must submit a 1 page essay to Joanne Brittian, the topic should be “what governance means to you.”
