Summary: The Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation is looking for a motivated individual who has a positive attitude for the position of Arena Operator. The Arena Operator should have experience in managing an arena facility. The Arena Operator must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Responsible to: Sport Culture and Recreation Coordinator. Responsive to Director of Operations.
Core Competencies: The Arena Operator is responsible for the day to day operations of the Willow Cree Arena, the operation of the ice/ice plant and supervising the building; have total janitorial maintenance done in and around the arena; booking ice time and collecting ice rentals; maintaining inventory of supplies and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The Arena Operator should have superior communication and organizational skills; demonstrate an exceptional ability in time and resource management and have excellent personnel skills to work with people, visitors and vendors. Consistently motivated to perform work and assignments with attention to detail. Able to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service. Must be reliable. Excellent knowledge of installing and removal of the ice. Successful applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; and must be able to provide a CPIC upon successful selection.
