A. PURPOSE OF THE BOARD
The purpose of Willow Cree Developments is to create wealth and opportunity for the Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation by taking advantage of economic opportunities.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTORS
Directors of the Board are responsible for the development of policy and investment decision-making. Directors will contribute time and expertise to assist Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation with the growth of business operations and investments resulting in financial benefits and returns. Directors will also ensure that investments are environmentally, ethically, and culturally appropriate by ensuring a strict adherence to the systems of values and beliefs of the Cree people.
C. SELECTION PROCESS
Upon receipt of an applicant’s expression of interest, each applicant will be asked to complete an application form, to be used as part of the selection process. A total of three (3) Directors will be chosen. A Nominating Committee will shortlist and recommend potential directors to Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation, which will be responsible for approval of appointments. Interviews will occur as part of the recruitment and appointment process.
