Re: PUBLIC WORKS COMMUNITY NOTICE

Dear Band Members,

| PUBLIC NOTICE 1 – GRASS BURNING PERMIT |

All residents of the Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation are reminded that you MUST obtain a grass burning permit from the Band Office prior to any grass burning. The Fire Department will contact you to conduct the controlled burn on a specified date.

For your own safety, and that of your neighbours, please DO NOT conduct an unsupervised burn.

| PUBLIC NOTICE 2 – WATER MAIN BREAK |

The 8″ water main that supplies the Arena, Schools, Band Office, Youth Centre, Day Care, and some residences broke along the highway near the RCMP houses. Multiple attempts to remedy the situation have not had the desired results.

SaskPower will be shutting off the power on Monday to complete the work. As such, water and power at the locations identified will be affected and will not be available on Monday and potentially Tuesday.

After the work is completed, water technicians will have to test the water before normal operations at the identified facilities can resume.

**To be clear, school and administrative operations will be suspended Monday and potentially further into the week while this work is completed. More information will be available shortly**

I apologize for the inconvenience, but please know that we are working diligently to rectify the situation.

Thank you.

Glen Seesequasis
Director of Public Works & Housing
