Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation – Chief & Council released the following statement today on the tragic passing of Luke Gardypie:
“Our Council was deeply saddened to hear of the too-soon passing of Luke Gardypie.
Words can never explain, nor will we ever understand the path that the Creator has laid for each and every one of us.
Words will never be able express the feelings of loss and hurt that friends and family are so profoundly experiencing right now.
Words will never be enough to fill the void left in the hearts of those who kept Luke near and dear to their hearts.
And although words cannot help, we hope that you take some comfort in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of our community; and like we have always done for one another in times of need, we are here to support you.
